UNIPORT Postgraduate Admission Form for 2022/2023 is Out

University of Port (UNIPORT), the administration of the school is currently seeking applicants who meet the required qualifications to be admitted into the following programs which are described below:

I. GRADUATE SCHOOL OF ARTS, EDUCATION, AND SOCIAL SCIENCES.

A. FACULTY OF HUMANITIES.

This announcement is intended to inform any interested applicants who are seeking admission to admission into a Humanities Ph.D. Programs require at least a CGPA that is 3.5 on a five-point scale, excluding English Studies, Which requires a minimal CGPA score that is 4.0 on a five-point scale.

Also take note that in addition, all applicants/candidates must score a minimum of 60% in the admission interview to be found admissible and be admitted into the academic institution.

1. COMPARATIVE LITERATURE PROGRAMME.

  • M.A. Comparative Literature.
  • Ph.D. Comparative Literature.

Complete Requirements for MA Comparative Literature Programme:

This information is for those who are applying to be admitted to this faculty. They to be aware that they will be required to have two years of Second Class Honours degree with a CGPA that is not less than 3.0 points on a five-point scale or the equivalent Literature from an accredited university.

However, all students who graduate in English must provide proof of at least 2 years (four semesters) of academic exposure to French or other languages in International communication.

African Language

Take note of the particular African Language requirement for the Comparative Literature Programme. It is crucial for any applicant or candidate who is not proficient in writing, reading, speaking, or writing in an African language to be aware that they’ll be required to attend a suitable course within the Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies and submit proof of having completed the course.

Requirements for Ph.D. Comparative Literature Programme:

Requirements for Ph.D. Theatre Arts

Requirements for Ph.D. Foreign Languages and Literatures

ALL applicants who are interested in applying should possess an M.A. degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures in addition to the other requirements of the Faculty.

5. DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY AND DIPLOMATIC STUDIES

(i) Postgraduate Diploma in History & Diplomatic Studies (PGDHDS)

Qualifications for Admission.

All applicants should note that in order to be considered for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma Programme, the school’s management has stated that applicants need to have an Honours degree in the following fields:

Anyone who is interested in applying should remember that to be eligible for admission into one of the M.A Degree Programmes offered by the Department The school’s management has stipulated for all applicants must have at least two years of Second Class Honours Degree, with a CGPA that is not less than 3.00 on a five-point scale or the equivalent of an undergraduate degree from the University of Port Harcourt or from any other university recognized with the relevant subject.

However, applicants must be aware that, except for Archaeology/Cultural Heritage Management, those with backgrounds other than history are required to go by the department’s Postgraduate Diploma Programme in History and Diplomacy before being admitted to the MA programs.

Important Note

It is important to note that, aside from Archaeology Candidates who are not from the field of history are required to be able to pass the department’s Postgraduate Diploma Programme in History and Diplomatic Studies to be accepted into Ph.D. degree programs. Candidates will also have to submit an essay on a dissertation topic within the field they choose and have a minimum score of 60% in the pre-admission or oral interview.

Candidates must hold at least a second Class Honours degree with a CGPA that is at least 3.00 on a 5-point scale, or the equivalent Linguistics, Mass Communication, Communication Studies/Arts, or any other subject that has a strong language component, or a Merit passing with a CGPA that is 3.50 on a five-point scale or equivalent in Noun postgraduate diploma with a degree in Linguistics or Linguistics or Communications Studies at a recognized institution.

Requirements for Ph.D. Linguistics & Communication Studies

Candidates must possess an M.A. Degree in Linguistics or M.A. Diploma in Communication Studies or a related discipline in addition to other requirements of the Faculty.

The admissions process to the MA program is available to those who have a B.A. degree with a major in Religious or Cultural Studies, Islamic Studies, Theology, or any other related discipline like Philosophy, History, Sociology, and Anthropology, with a CGPA at least 3.0 points, on a 5 point scale or equivalent, at the University of Port Harcourt or any other institution that is recognized in the Senate of the University of Port Harcourt

Requirements for M.Ed Programme

There are three categories in which applicants can be accepted on application to the Programme:

(i) graduates from (i) Graduates of the University of Port Harcourt or any other recognized University who have received an approved Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Learning with at the minimum 3.00 CGPA on a 5-point scale or equivalent.

(ii) Students who didn’t pursue a degree in adult education, but have attained at least 2nd

Grade Honours or higher and with at least a CGPA of 3.50 or higher. 3.50 in the

Postgraduate Diploma in Education. Candidates would be required to take remedial courses, as specified in the Handbook.

15. DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN KINETICS AND HEALTH EDUCATION

M.Ed, Ph.D. Regular Programmes in Part-Time and Full-Time schedules. M.Ed Sandwich (Long Vacation) program. Both the regular (Ph.D. and M.Ed) as well as the Sandwich (Long vacation) M.Ed Programs cover the following sections:

Requirements

(i) The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics or Human Kinetics and Health Education (Integrated Major). Most likely, holders of a Second Class Honours from a recognized university, with a minimum CGPA at least 3.00 on a 5-point scale or equivalent.

(ii) Candidates who have the degree of Bachelor’s from Science, or in Education who have completed the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in Human Kinetics or Human Kinetics and Health Education (this type of candidate could be required to attend certain extra courses on Human Kinetics and related subjects as can be required by the Department.

(iii) (iii) Credit for Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with a CGPA of at a minimum 4.00

C. M.Ed Health Education

Requirements

(i) Candidate must hold an Honours Second Class Degree with at least a CGPA at 3.00 on a 5-point scale or equivalent from an accredited university that specializes in Health Education or Health and Human Kinetics (Integrated Major) or Human Kinetics and Health Education (Integrated Major).

(ii) A degree in Medicine or a Medical Science for Nursing. Advanced Graduate Diploma in Health Education (ADHE).

(iii) Candidates who have an Honours Second Class Degree with at least a CGPA of 3.00 in the same discipline following the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in Human Kinetics or Human Kinetics and Health Education (Integrated Major). Candidates with these qualifications may require other courses in Human Kinetics and Health Education in accordance with the guidelines of the Department.

D. Ph.D. in the following areas:

(i) Sports Management
(ii) Psychology and Sociology of Sports
(iii) Sports Marketing
(iv) Health Education (Community Health)

Candidates must hold an M.Ed or a degree from Human Kinetics and Health Education or another relevant discipline, in addition to other requirements of the Faculty.

16. INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION

Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) Regular (Full-Time and Part-Time) basis as well as sandwich (Long Vacation) program.

The program is made up of four distinct areas, including:

(a) Full-Time The program will run for at least 12 calendar months and a maximum of 24 calendar months.

Every Sociological Sciences Ph.D. Programs require a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale, with the exception of the Economics program as well as Sociology (Demography as well as Population Studies) which require a minimal CGPA of 4.0 on a five-point scale.

21. CLAUDE AKE SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT

(i) Executive Master’s Degree Programme in Public Administration (MPA)
Requirements for Executive Master’s Degree Programme in PA.

The candidate of MPA MPA Programme is expected to be an alumnus of the University of Port Harcourt or any other accredited university with at minimum 2nd Class Honours in the Lower Division and a CGPA that is not lower than 3.0 on a five-point scale, or 5.0 on a 7-point scale. Candidates who have the equivalent of a Third Class or Pass Degrees are eligible as long as they have had relevant work experience for at least five (5) years or seven (7) years, respectively.

DURATION

The program is designed to last twelve Calendar months (12) which comprises two semesters as well as reports and field research, as well as a time for the presentation.

22. CENTRE FOR ETHNIC AND CONFLICT STUDIES (CENTECS)

Candidates must hold at least an Honours Second Class Degree from the University of Port Harcourt or any other university recognized in the subject of study (e.g. Zoology, Biology, Crop Science, Environmental Sciences, etc. with at least a CGPA that is 3.00 on a five-point scale or equivalent.

Requirements for Ph.D. in Animal & Environmental Biology:

Candidates who are interested in the Ph.D. program must hold at least a Masters’s Degree and must be in the top 5% of their class with an average of 60% or a CGPA of 4.0 in the discipline of their choice in level Masters’s level.

For candidates who have completed their Master’s solely through research assessment, admissions will be determined by the quality of the thesis. Candidates might be required to participate in an interview prior to admission. The final selection of candidates is based on the candidate’s performance in the interview and other criteria.

F. FACULTY OF BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES

32. MD/MS DEGREE PROGRAMME

(a) The candidates must be Medical Graduates (MBBS) from the University of Port Harcourt for not less than five years, or be confirmed and qualified academic staff at the university with Medical Degrees from other recognized universities.

(b) Alongside the above, applicants must have either a recognized professional certificate at the level of fellowship or at the very least an M.Sc Degree from a recognized university, following receiving the MB.BS Degree.

33. DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY

(1) PGD in Human Physiology
(2) M.Sc, Ph.D. in Human Physiology

(i) graduates who have completed their studies at (i) the University of Port Harcourt or other universities recognized by legislation that is part of the University of Port Harcourt with an Honours Second Class Degree that has the minimum CGPA at 3.00 on a 5-point scale or equivalent Human Physiology or related discipline.

(ii) holders of MB.BS, DVVM or BVM Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Anatomy with a CGPA of 3.50 for the postgraduate diploma of Human Physiology.

(iii) Requirements for Ph.D. Programs Candidates must hold the M.Sc or M.Phil degree or equivalent, in the field of Human Physiology, in along with the rest of the requirements for the Faculty.

34. DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN ANATOMY

(i) M.Sc, Ph.D. in Anatomy

Requirements for M.Sc in Human Anatomy:

(a) Candidate must hold an upper second Class Honours degree with at the very least a CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale or the equivalent Anatomy of The University of Port Harcourt or other universities that are recognized.

(b) Holders of high qualifications in Medicine and Surgery and Veterinarian Medicine or Physiotherapy.

ii. Areas of Specialization in Ph.D. Anatomy:
(a) Histochemistry and Teratology
(b) Clinical Anatomy
(c) Physical and Forensic Anthropology
(d) Radiological Anatomy

Requirements for Ph.D. in Anatomy:

Candidates must hold an MSc of Anatomy, with at least a CGPA of 4 points on a five points scale or equivalent qualification. Interviews are conducted to evaluate the applicants before admitting them. The final selection is made based on their performance in the interview.

35. DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACOLOGY

(i) M.Sc Pharmacology
(a) Candidate must hold an upper second Class Honours Degree and at minimum a CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale or the equivalent pharmacy from the University of Port Harcourt or other Universities that are recognized.

(b) holders of a good degree with a good degree in Medicine and Surgery or (b) Holders of good Degrees in Medicine and Surgery, Medicine,

Dentistry, Physiology, and other Biomedical Science topics.

(ii) Ph.D. in Pharmacy: Candidates need to hold the M.Sc or M.Phil Degree or equivalent degree in the field of Pharmacology, along with the other requirements of the Faculty with at least a CGPA that is 4.0 on a five-point scale.

36. DEPARTMENT OF HAEMATOLOGY, BLOOD TRANSFUSION, AND IMMUNOLOGY

Requirements for M.Sc in Immunology Programmes:

The Course is available to those who have completed Medicine Dentistry, Anatomy, Physiology as well as Physiology, Pharmacy Nursing, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular-Biology Microbiology, and Animal Science and Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine Zoology, and related courses. Candidates must hold at least a second Class Honors (Lower Division) with a minimum CGPA that is 3.00 on a 5-point scale or within any one of these subjects from the University of Port Harcourt or other recognized Universities. The University of Port Harcourt or other universities recognized by the University are admissible to the program, with the exception of Dental and Dental graduates.

G. FACULTY OF CLINICAL SCIENCES

37. M.Sc Sports Medicine

(a) Medically qualified individuals with MB.BS, B.Ch or a fellowship in any Medical discipline.
(b) The length of the course is 18 – 36 months.

The course work is taught in two 12-month semesters during which the student spends the remaining six months in the form of a training attachment as well as a project.

(c) Specialization (c) Specialization area Sports Medicine generally and the focus of the project will focus focused on Sports of interest.

38. DEPARTMENT OF PREVENTIVE AND SOCIAL MEDICINE

i. master of Public Health (MPH) for MBBS graduate
ii. Masters of Science in Public Health (MSc Public Health MSPH for different B.Sc in Anatomy, Science, and more.

Admission Requirements:

The Programs are open to applicants who hold an undergraduate master’s degree or higher in medicine, Medical Basic Sciences as well as Nursing, Pharmacy as well as other courses that are related to medicine. Additionally, applicants must possess at least three years of post-degree experience and have completed the National Youth Service (NYSC) program. Participants who are eligible for admission to the program must go through an interview process, and only those who pass are admitted to the program.

To meet the interests and requirements of all Health, Medical, and related professions who wish for this program, there is a necessity to run two distinct programs: one for graduates who are medically trained and a second one for non-medically trained professionals who would like to practice Public Health.

Requirements for Master of Public Health Programme:

(a) MBBS or its equivalent, and at least three years of post-qualification experience.
(b) (b) Candidates are obligatory to take the examination for qualification.

Requirements for MSc Public Health Programme:

(a) B.Sc Honors degree in a health-related discipline, with the minimum of a 2nd Class Lower Division (22) Degree, with a CGPA of not lower than 3.00 on a 5-point scale, or CGPA at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale.

(b) (b) Candidates must pass the examination for qualification.

H. FACULTY OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES

39. DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACOGNOSY

(i) M.Pharm and Ph.D. Programs

Requirements for M.Pharm

Candidates must hold a first degree in the pharmacy from The University of Port Harcourt or any other accredited university with a minimum of the level of Second Class Honours and at least a CGPA of 3 points on a five points scale.

Non-pharmacy graduate students in closely related fields such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Botany could be eligible as candidates for admission. Candidates may require classes for remedial college courses within Pharmacognosy according to the recommendations of members of the Departmental Graduate Studies Committee.

Requirements for PhD

(i) candidates who hold the M.Pharm degree in Pharmacognosy from the University of Port Harcourt or any other recognized University and have a CGPA of 3.5 on a five-point scale. Candidates with a CGPA of at least 3.0 for the course of their M.Pharm or M.Sc programs in the field of Pharmacognosy or similar disciplines can be eligible for admission. These candidates will be required to complete the required 700 level or remedial courses, which must be passed with an average of 60% in their first year.

(ii) Candidates who have an M.Sc/M.Pharm Degree (minimum CGPA of 3.5); M.Phil Degrees in Pharmacognosy, Ethnomedicine, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Botany from the University of Port Harcourt or other Universities that are accredited. The final selection of applicants is through the presentation of an application for research. Part-time candidates are also taken into consideration.

40. DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACEUTICS AND PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGY

(i) M.Pharm and Ph.D. Programs

Areas of Specialization for M.Pharm:

(a) M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics
(b) M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Technology

Requirements for M.Pharm

Candidates must have graduated from the pharmacy at the University of Port Harcourt or the University of Port Harcourt or any other recognized University with at the very least a second class (Lower Division) or declassified, approved Degree Programme that has proof of their results in the field of pharmaceutics. Candidates must meet the requirements of the department during the selection procedure.

Areas of Specialization for Ph.D.:
(a) Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics
(b) Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology

Requirements for PhD

(i) Graduate from the University of Port Harcourt holding the Masters in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) with a specialization in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Technology and a minimum of the requirements listed previously for the M.Pharm Program.

(ii) graduates from at least the University of Port Harcourt holding the Masters’s degree as described in the above requirements of M.Pharm who have achieved at minimum a CGPA that is 3.5 on a scale of five points or a standard of 60%(B) in their course work.

(iii) (iii) A student from any other accredited university that is able to meet the above criteria shall be admitted upon presentation of university transcripts. Candidates may be required complete relevant remedial courses, according to the recommendations of committees of the Departmental and Faculty Graduate Committees.

41. DEPARTMENT OF EXPERIMENTAL PHARMACOLOGY AND TOXICOLOGY

(i) MSc & PhD Toxicology

Areas of Specialization:
(a) Drug Toxicology
(b) Food Toxicology
(c) Medical/Clinical Toxicology
(d) Environmental Toxicology

Requirements for M.Sc Toxicology

Candidates must have a B.Sc or higher degree at the University of Port Harcourt or from any other accredited university in one of the following disciplines that include Biology and Chemical Sciences comprising (Chemistry, Civil, Agricultural, Chemical, and Environmental Engineering) Medical Sciences as well as Forensic Sciences.

Requirements for PhD

Candidates who achieved a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on the appropriate exams and a project on the M.Sc course of Toxicology at the University of Port Harcourt, or any other recognized institution.

Admission Requirement for Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Sports

(i) An undergraduate degree or equivalent with a focus on Sports Education or related courses that require a minimum of three years of the (Honours) degree.
(ii) The experience in sports matters will be an advantage.

Duration

The program is designed to run for 2 semesters full-time working.

III. GRADUATE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Every one of the Engineering Ph.D. programs requires a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a scale of five points. Candidates will be required to be interviewed prior to being admitted and registered for the program. They will also be required to take an exam to qualify.

Requirements for College of Engineering.

1. PGD Programs Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree and at least 3rd Class Honours in their chosen discipline or at least 22 in any other relevant Engineering discipline.

2. M.Eng Programs Candidates must hold either A Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum of 2nd Class Honors within the applicable discipline, and a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a five-point scale or a PGD in relevant fields with at least a CGPA that is 3.50 on a 5-point scale.

43. Master of Engineering Management (MEM) in the areas of:
(a) Chemical Engineering.
(b) Civil Engineering.
(c) Electrical./Electronic Engineering.
(d) Mechanical Engineering.
(e) Petroleum Engineering.

Requirements:

Candidates must have the Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, with a minimum CGPA that is 3.0. The MEM is a Terminal Degree.

44. Master of Environmental Engineering Technology (M.ENV.T)

Requirements:

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related science, with a minimum CGPA that is 3.0. The M.Env.T is a Terminal Degree.

I. FACULTY OF ENERGY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

45. DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
(i) Postgraduate Diploma in Chemical Engineering (PGDCE)
(ii) M.Eng, Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering

Requirements for PGDCE

Candidates who are eligible for PGDCE need to have an undergraduate degree with at least 3rd Class Chemical Engineering or the equivalent of a Second Class lower within the other Engineering discipline.

Duration:

The program should be completed in a minimum of 24 calendar months, up to sixty calendar months of full-time study, or 36 calendar months, and up to 84 calendar months of part-time study.

46. DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM ENGINEERING

(i) Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Engineering (PGDPE)
(ii) Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Technology (PGDPT)

Requirement for PGDPE:

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree with the minimum of the Third Grade in Petroleum & Gas Engineering or the equivalent of a Two-Class in any other related Engineering Discipline.

(ii) Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Technology (PGDPT)

Requirement for PGDPT:

Candidates who have degrees from Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Geophysics, or Metallurgy with a minimum grade of 2nd Class lower degree or 3rd Class and at the very least 5 (5) years of experience in the industry are qualified to apply.

(iii) M.Eng. (iii) Ph.D. Petroleum Engineering within the areas of:
(a) Reservoir Engineering
(b) Gas Engineering
(c) Drilling Engineering
(d) Production Engineering
(e) Petroleum Economics

Requirement for PGDME:

Requirements for PGD Programmes:

Candidates must hold at least a third-class Degree in the area of specialization. Candidates in other disciplines need to have at least a

Honors Second Class Degree, or a third-class. For holders of HND, at least a higher credit is considered acceptable in the relevant discipline.

(ii) Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the areas listed below:
(a) Accounting

Requirements for MBA Programmes:

Candidates must possess a B.Sc or higher in the area of specialization and at least a CGPA that is 3.00 on a 5-point scale (Accounting Finance and Banking Management, Marketing, and Accounting). Other related fields must be able to show at least 3.50 on a five-point scale in PGD programs.

(iii) Master of Science (M.Sc) in the following fields:
(a) Accounting
(b) Finance and Banking
(c) Management
(d) Marketing

Requirements for MSc Programmes:

Candidates who have a minimum Second Grade B.Sc degree in their field of specialization and a minimal CGPA in the range of 3.00 on a 5-point scale or the equivalent.

Holders of an MBA in Mgt Sciences, with a minimum CGPA that is 3.00 on a scale of 5 points or the equivalent.

(iv) Doctoral Degree (PhD) within the following fields:
(a) Accounting
(b) Finance and Banking
(c) Management
(d) Marketing

Requirements for Ph.D. Programs:

Candidates must hold an M.Sc in the area of specification (Accounting Finance and Banking Management, Marketing, and Accounting) as well as other requirements for the Faculty.

(v) Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in the areas listed below:
(a) Accounting
(b) Finance and Banking
(c) Management
(d) Marketing

Requirements for Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Programme:

Candidates who are interested in the DBA program must hold the following qualifications: MBA or M.Sc in Accounting Finance, Banking Management, Marketing, or in a comparable and closely related discipline. The Master’s program should have included a thesis or research element.

Candidates must be able to show a minimum score of 3.5 on the 5.0 points scale, or 3.0 on a 4.0-point scale during their master’s program.

Experience of two years gained in a middle management role in the business world or another relevant job can be a significant benefit.

Final selection for applicants for the DBA program will depend on the applicant’s performance in an interview that will take place by the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee

DURATION OF GRADUATE PROGRAMMES

A. Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

The Program will be run on a Full-Time Basis to run for at least 12 calendar months and a maximum of 24 calendar months and additionally on a part-time basis for two consecutive long vacations that last eight (8) weeks per sandwich program.

B. MBA Programme

Full-Time: Minimum of 24 Calendar Months and Maximum of 48 Calendar Months

C. MD and MS Programmes

The programs will have at minimum 24 Calendar Months long.

D. Ph.D. Programs

Full-time applicants will be expected to commit to at least 24 calendar months, and up to 60 months of the calendar.

Part-time applicants will have to commit to a minimum period of 36 calendar months and up to the 84 calendar month period.

E. DBA Programme

Full-time applicants are required to stay for at least 3 (3) years, and the maximum is five (5) years starting from the date of their first registration.

Part-time applicants are required to commit to a minimum period of 5 (5) years, and up to seven (7) years.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PGD PROGRAMMES

The minimum requirement for Postgraduate Diploma Programmes is a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the related disciplines. Candidates must hold at minimum an upper Two-Third Class Honours (or Third Class in the discipline they are studying. For holders of HNDs, at least Upper Credit is accepted within the Department of your choice.

PGDC

To be eligible for the Postgraduate Diploma in Chemistry (PGDC) Candidates with a Third Class must not apply.

MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES

Candidates must have at least an Honours Second Class Degree from the University of Port Harcourt or any other recognized university in the subject of study with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 points on a 5- point scale or equivalent.

The candidates for the Master’s Degree in Education must hold an undergraduate degree in a different field, and also the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) that has at least an upper Credit classification. Candidates applying for an MBA Programme must possess a high-quality background. Candidates who have PGD must possess a CGPA of 3.50 or higher. 3.50 to qualify for a Master’s degree in the area of their choice.

Ph.D. PROGRAMMES

In general, for Ph.D. In programs, applicants must hold a Master’s Degree and at least a CGPA at 3.5 or 4.0 in accordance with the department or equivalent grades in the discipline relevant at the master’s level. Admission is determined by your performance in the interview. Ph.D. includes coursework as well as a qualifying test.

MD/MS PROGRAMME

(A) The candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MBBS) from the University of Port Harcourt for at least 5 (5) years or be confirmed and knowledgeable academic staff members of the university with an MD degree from a recognized university.

(B) Alongside this, candidates should have a professional certification at the level of fellowship or at a minimum having an M.Sc degree from an accredited institution in addition to receiving the MBBS Degree.

METHOD OF APPLICATION.

A fee for application of 11 Thousand Nigeria (N11,000.00) is to be paid online through each of the banks:
